Jeff Mausolf
Memorial Service for Jeff Mausolf on July 19, 2011

Jeffrey Mausolf, 65, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011.

He was the son of Evelyn and C. Edward Mausolf and a 1964 graduate of Duluth East. On June 12, 1970, he married Katherine.

Jeff was an advocate for snowmobiling. He was the president of MN USA where he served three terms and was Region 7 president for 12 years. He was also the president of the Duluth Area Association of Snowmobile Clubs from 1980-1990, president of I-500 from 1994-1999, served on the Board of Directors of the International Snowmobile Council from 1997-1999, on the ASCA Executive Committee from 1997-1999, elected to the Lakes State Resource Alliance Board in 1998 to present, and an expert and consultant and board member for the Citizen Council Voyagers National Park from 1995-1999.

Jeff was also captain of the Duluth Snowmobile Patrol and was inducted into the Snowmobile International Hall of Fame in 2009 as a volunteer instrumental in the development of the sport.

Jeffrey worked at Peavey Co. and DM&IR, and was a Quarter Master in the U.S. Navy.

He loved golf, watching sports, traveling and snowmobiling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; parents Evelyn and Ed Mausolf; and aunts and uncles.

Jeff is survived by his son, Jason (Julie) of Crystal, Minn.; daughter Tammy Wilson (John Klopfer) of Luck, Wis.; grandchildren Sonja, Hunter and Kelcie Wilson; and extended family and friends.

VISITATION: 11 until the 12 noon service Tuesday, July 19, in First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN 55807.  Entombment will be at Park Hill Cemetery.
