ACSA Announces 2015 Dealer of the Year
Duluth Lawn & Sport Recognized as Snowmobile Dealer of the Year
June 13, 2015
At the International Snowmobile Congress in Niagara Falls, NY, Duluth Lawn & Sport of Duluth, MN received the American Council of Snowmobile Association’s 2015 Snowmobile Dealer of the Year Award. This award is presented to a snowmobiler dealership that is deeply committed to organized snowmobiling, is involved with snowmobile organizations and strives to make the sport even more enjoyable in the future.
Duluth Lawn & Sport has been active in the sport of snowmobiling for over 24 years, and owner Pete Gassert works to promote and support all clubs and Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association (MnUSA) in any way possible. The clubs sell memberships at his business and promote their events and the dealership provides sleds for youth safety training. Gassert and his family understand that their business needs organized snowmobiling and the local clubs because without trails, they wouldn’t be in business.
The dealership stays in touch with what is going on in the sport and clubs so they are able to assist with answers to questions and direct potential members to a club in their area. Family snowmobiling is promoted through the dealership at local city, county and state meetings.
Duluth Lawn and Gassert are involved with the Black Woods Blizzard Tour fund raiser for ALS research. Gassert has been on the event board of directors and trail committee for 17 years. He provides snowmobiles, gear, trailers, parts, personal time and whatever he may have that someone needs to support the event which raised $852,000 for the ALS Association this year. The dealership also provided 8 snowmobiles for use at 2015 MnUSA Veterans Appreciation Ride in Silver Bay.
Duluth Lawn & Sport is a member of the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association which works closely with the legislature, state, local and national organizations, to promote favorable snowmobile legislation, regulations and funding. The association and its volunteers have worked extensively to help develop Minnesota’s snowmobile trail system – one of the most comprehensive systems in the country. The American Council of Snowmobile Associations is a national organization uniting the snowmobile community and promoting snowmobiling as a safe, fun and environmentally friendly family sport.
