MnUSA Announces its 2016 Award Programs

At Winter Rendezvous 2017 (February 9-12, 2017) at Timberlake Lodge, Grand Rapids, MN,  MnUSA will be recognizing snowmobilers for their contributions to our great winter sport! This year we will be presenting five awards – Snowmobiler / Snowmobile Family of the Year, Unsung Hero, Young Snowmobiler of the Year, Dealer of the Year. and Snowmobile Club of the Year.

Our trail system exists today because off our dedicated network of volunteers. This is a great opportunity to recognize and thank those snowmobilers that contribute so much for our sport – PROTECTING YOUR TRAILS.

·         Young Snowmobiler of the Year – The future of our sport depends on the involvement of today’s youth. We have many young adults going the extra mile to help protect our sport. This award is for snowmobile nominees between the ages of 14-18, who have an active family membership in MnUSA, have taken and passed the snowmobile safety course, and have demonstrated a deep commitment to organized snowmobiling and are involved in snowmobile organizations that strive to make the sport even more enjoyable in the future.
·         Snowmobiler of the Year / Snowmobile Family of the Year – This award is for snowmobilers who are deeply committed to organized snowmobiling and are involved in snowmobile organizations that strive to make the sport even more enjoyable in the future. The person winning this award will also be submitted as MnUSA’s nomination for the ACSA (American Council of Snowmobile Associations) National Award.
·         MnUSA “Unsung Hero” Award – MnUSA will recognize a snowmobiler for their dedication to the promotion of snowmobiling in Minnesota. The criteria is very general: Your “snowmobile hero” must be a MnUSA member going above and beyond the call of duty to expose, promote, improve, preserve, and maintain the sport of snowmobiling in the State of Minnesota, his or her region, or community.
·         Dealer of the Year – This award recognizes a snowmobile dealership that is deeply committed to organized snowmobiling, is involved with snowmobile organizations and strives to make the sport even more enjoyable in the future. The dealership winning this award will also be submitted as MnUSA’s nomination for the ACSA (American Council of Snowmobile Associations) National Award.
