Snowmobile Safety Online Field Day will be held on December 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at MNState, 900 MN Hwy 34, Detroit Lakes. First, you must complete an online youth snowmobile safety training class: snowmobilecourse.com (fee for this course is $29.95). After completing you print a youth follow-up voucher" to take to the snowmobile safety training class. Secondly, participants must attend the snowmobile safety field day (the three-hour class includes classroom review of safety information and a performance driving course) led by trained volunteer instructors. Please note: Eat breakfast beforehand and bring a snack to class; Parent/guardian will need to sign a waiver form when dropping off their students; and remember to bring your riding gear to class (clothing and helmet).

Youth Snowmobile Safety Training - Faribault

The Faribo Sno-Go Club, in conjunction with the Minnesota DNR is hosting a Youth Snowmobile Safety Training Course. Students need to be age 12-15 by February 15, 2019. The course requires successful completion of online course work prior to the mandatory classroom session on December 4th and a brief driving test once snow allows. Access to a computer, internet and printer is required.

Students need to register for the class online at sno-go.org. Click on the Youth Snowmobile Safety Training link. A $5.00 fee is required at registration to be paid via pay-pal. An email will be returned with directions and a code to access the online training course. The online course needs to be completed and a certificate of completion printed out and brought to the classroom session. The classroom portion is from 6:00 to 8:45 pm on Tuesday. December 4th in Faribault. It is mandatory that a parent attend the first half hour of the class.

What to Expect:

~ Students must be dressed properly for the outdoor elements .
~ Please bring your helmet, because it is the law.
~ You must know hand signals, and the pre-ride inspection of your snowmobile.

If you do not have a snowmobile, see if you can ride a friends', or tell an instructor that you do not have a machine to ride. There will be a couple of snowmobiles to use.

Tamarack Sno-Flyers are sponsoring a Snowmobile Safety Online Field Day in Tamarack on 12/29/2018. Voucher Codes are available for the online portion of the class. Online certificate of completion must be presented on day of class. Parent or guardian must sign consent form the day of testing for the riding portion of the class.
