This class is to become a certified volunteer instructor to teach DNR ATV and Snowmobile Safety. The certification will allow you to teach the Hands-On ATV and Snowmobile Safety Class.

Certification requirements:
At least 18 years old
Pass a Background check
Complete Application/Background check forms and volunteer agreement
Instructor Process
Current ATV Certified
Anyone born after July 1, 1987, who is 12 or older, must have a valid ATV Safety Certificate to operate on public lands, trails, and frozen waters and when crossing road right-of-way. ATV safety training requirements
Current Snowmobile Certified
Anyone born after December 31, 1976, must complete a Minnesota snowmobile safety training course to operator a snowmobile in Minnesota. Snowmobile safety training requirements
